摘要

Heterologous T-cell specific antisera against both murine and human thymocytes (anti-MTLA; anti-HTLA) was found to be highly mitogenic for the respective lymphoid cells. It was determined that these T-cell specific reagents needed to be crosslinked for cell activation to occur. Further, these antisera inhibited the ability of responder cells to react in mixed lymphocyte cultures. Another series of experiments utilizing an autoantibody against chimpanzee lymphoid cells (anti-idiotype) specific for stimulatory determinants on lymphoid cells from an unrelated chimpanzee showed results similar to that of anti-MTLA and anti-HTLA. It is hypothesized that these studies describe the reactions of antisera that recognize common and idiotype specific receptors on the surface of T cells for allogeneic lymphocyte activating determinants.
