Significance of Delta Ferrite Content to Fatigue Crack Growth Resistance of Austenitic Stainless Steel Weld Deposits.

摘要

This report describes initial exploratory tests of fatigue crack growth resistance changes with one metallurgical variable, delta ferrite content, over a broad range of service temperatures. An initial study of the delta ferrite contribution to postirradiation fatigue behavior is also described. Reports documenting results of a companion study on preirradiation notch ductility characteristics versus delta ferrite content have been issued.
