High-Speed Parallel Data Link Between Co-Resident Minicomputers

Project 7090, Operational Information Systems Experimentation, is an experimental activity aimed at developing tools and techniques for effective battle management and control. As part of this activity, a computer architecture was developed based on a receiver-oriented event driven distributed processing environment. This environment developed in response to the needs of a large command and control center. This document describes an asynchronous parallel link developed to permit high-speed data transfer between co-resident Interdata computers used in the 7090 distributed processing environment. (Author)
