Analysis of Uncertainties in the Ground Shock Estimation Process

摘要

A quantitative examination of some effects of uncertainty on the free-field ground shock estimation process is presented. Emphasis is placed on examining the modeling process and the associated uncertainties in the system response estimates with simplified models. Implications are presented regarding the optimal allocation of resources for obtaining samples and making property value measurements in order to reduce uncertainties in the overall free field ground shock estimation process. Associated sample size requirements are shown.
