Five prehistoric sites within the impact zone of the Gainesville portion of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway were excavated under this contract. This volume synthesizes the data gathered during the investigations. Other volumes present the excavations (Volume 1), the ceramic analysis (Volume 2), the lithic analysis (Volume 3), and the biocultural studies (Volume 4). (Author)
