This is a report of a training analysis of the Special Vehicle Mechanic (AFSs 472X1A/B/C/D) specialties. This training report provides task data training managers can use in conjunction with career ladder documents to assess the effectiveness of Special Vehicle Mechanic (AFSs 472X1A/B/C/D) training. Topics discussed in this report include: (1) survey methodology; (2) tasks performed, vehicles maintained, and tools and equipment used by first-enlistment 472X1A/B/C/D (Special Vehicle Mechanic) personnel; (3) personnel; (3) comparison of MAJCOM first-enlistment differences; and (4) assessment of the 3- and 5-skill lelvel 472X1A/B/C/D STS, the 47271 STS, and the 472X1A/B/C/D POIs.
