摘要

Infrared spectroscopy and temperature-programmed techniques are used to examine and compare the interaction of CO/CO2/H2 with three metal oxides, ZnO, TiO2 and ZrO2. Common surface species are formed over these oxides at 1 atm pressure, and their reactive characteristics suggest that CO hydrogenation over these oxides occurs via a formate-methoxide mechanism, Differences among the oxides were observed in that TiO2 did not hydrogenate CO or CO2 into methanol.
