摘要

The T(1) phase in the Aluminum-Lithium-Copper alloy system was first characterized by Hardy and Silcock as a hexagonal structure (a=.496 nm, c=.935 nm) belonging to either the P6/mmm space group or one of the primitive groups P622, P6mm, or P6m2. Noble and Thompson published the first electron diffraction patterns establishing the T1 aluminum habit plane and orientation relationship, and proposed that the nucleation and growth of T(1) was based upon the stacking fault mechanism observed for gamma plates in the Al-silver system.
