Multiport Power Divider-Combiner Circuits Using Circular-Sector-Shaped Planar Components

A novel sector-shaped circuit configuration is proposed for designing planar power dividers-combiners that are compatible with microstrip circuits. This configuration is analyzed by using the two-dimensional planar circuit approach. Expressions for impedance matrix parameters of multiport sectorial planar circuits are given. Theoretical and experimental results reported for 90 deg and 180 deg power dividers are in good agreement. Reprints. (rh)
