Relationship between Spain and the United States during the 18th and 19th Centuries.

摘要

The birth of the United States is one of the most important historic happenings in the XVIII Century. The European countries with interest in North America--England, France and Spain--played a very important role in the facts that preceded the Declaration of Independence of the United States and in the development of this nation in the following years. This work analyzes the Spanish attitude before the uprising of the American colonies against England, and tries to prove that the Spanish support to them was more important than believed til present.
