摘要

Slow decay in the velocity autocorrelation function of a particle in a fluid has been a controversial subject in recent years. Whether it really exists, what is its origin if it exists are among important issues still to be resolved. In this work, theoretical models of slow decay are examined to identify common features which may be responsible for slow decay. They are compared with the recent rigorous results of slow decay in a spin model, for which precession signifies the occurrence of slow decay.
