Dry Season Distribution of Mosquito Larvae in the Bed of the Mekong River,Northeastern Thailand

Twenty-eight species of the mosquito genera Aedes, Anopheles, Culex, andUranotaenia are reported from the banks of the Mekong River in northeastern Thailand. The aquatic habitat of Anopheles notanandai is reported for the first time. The effect of the unstable riverine habitat on distribution of the malaria vectors Anopheles minimus and Anopheles pseudowillmori, as well as some species of Aedes, Anopheles, and Culex, is discussed.
