Combined effect of detuning and Stark shift on atomic dipole squeezing in nondegenerate two-photon processes

We investigate the generation of atomic dipole squeezing (ADS) in a nondegenerate two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model [S.C. Gou, Phys. Lett. A 147 (1990) 218] when the radiation field in a lossless cavity is initially in a two-mode squeezed vacuum state. It is found that if the atom is initially prepared in certain SU(2) coherent state, the detuning or Stark shift has a destructive effect on ADS pattern; while for the ground or excited atom, the detuning or Stark shift has a constructive effect which may generate irregular ADS pattern. However, the combined effect of the detuning and Stark shift could lead to regular and periodical ADS patterns no matter whether the atom is initially prepared in its ground, excited or SU(2) coherent states.
