OP sheep dip in the UK - the human legacy

Over the years, the health of many UK sheep farmers and their families has been affected by organophosphate sheep dips. In 1976 the government passed the Sheep Scab Order, requiring fanners, in law, to treat their sheep in a 'prescribed dip'. All but one of these dips contained organophosphates (OPs, which are from the same chemical family as neurotoxic chemical weapons).
