A newly launched rugged portable computer from Steatite is claiming to be 'almost indestructible' because the magnesium alloy casing provides it with 20 times the strength of an ordinary notebook PC.The V100 is lightweight,fan-less and weighs only 2.2 kg.It uses a lower power Intel Core Duo 1.2 GHz processor,512 MB DRAM and benefits from a removable 80 GB shock resistant hard drive.In addition,a rotating screen transforms the V100 into a tablet PC.
