According to the Royal Bank of Scotland's October Oil and Gas Index,August oil production fellby 5.5% on the month and 9.3% on the year to 1,831,386 b/d-its lowest level since March 1992.Gas production in August 2002,however,wa up 10.5% on a monthearlier,at 8,703mn cf/d-although still down on the year by 5.8%.
