Urals prices fall with new terminal launch

Russia will export more medium sour Urals crude in the second quarter after start-up of the Ust-Luga terminal at the end of March, reports Argus Global Markets. Urals exports by pipeline are scheduled to rise to 174mn b/d 2Q2012, 350,000 b/d higher than in January-March. Exports from the Baltic port of Primorsk account for nearly 65,000 b/d of this increase, reaching 1.46mn b/d in the second quarter. And shipments through Ust-Luga, also on Russia's Baltic coast, are scheduled to be just over 285,000 b/d, after the new terminal opened.
