Unfortunately it looks like the Texas pecan crop will be light this year and during this type of season it is hard for producers to invest any more money than they have too. However, tree health has to be maintained and in some cases this means havingto treat for any pest or disease that will impact the foliage and ultimately tree vigor.At the time of this writing I have been receiving several reports across the state concerning infestations of walnut caterpillar Datana integerrima and during late May I observed a light infestation of walnut sphinx larvae, Amorpha juglandis in Comanchecounty, Texas.
