MAGELLAN GRABS AIRBUS, DEFENSE CONTRACTS

Goodrich Corp. has chosen Magellan Aerospace Corp. to precision machine titanium torque links for the A380 main and wing landing gear. First delivery under the 6 million dollars contract is slated for October 2003. Magellan plans to manufacture the parts at its Chicopee, MA, facility. This is Magellan's second A380 contract. Earlier this year, it announced a 119 million dollars deal with Hurel-Hispano to manufacture exhaust nozzles for the A380 Rolls-Royce and Engine Alliance engine options. Magellan makes a similar exhaust system for the Airbus A340 Trent 500 engine.
