BillerudKorsnas to Sell PM 2 at Gavle Mill

BillerudKorsnas has agreed to sell a kraft and sack paper machine at its Gavle pulp and paper mill in Sweden to the newly formed company SwedPaper AB. The divestment of the paper machine (PM2) is the result of a condition set by the European Commission in its November 2012 approval of the combination of Billerud and Korsnas. PM2's production in 2012 accounted for approximately 2% of BillerudKorsnas' total combined sales volume. About 60 people are involved with the operation of the machine and will be offered employment with SwedPaper.
