Government supports proposal for car park tariffs at Richmond and Bushy Parks - Minister backs parking charge in Royal Parks

Plans to bring in parking charges at two Royal Parks in London have won government backing. Margaret Hodge, minister for culture and tourism, has approved the charges at Richmond and Bushy Parks, which should come into force later this year. The minister was asked about the charges in a parliamentary question from Vince Cable, MP for Twickenham and shadow chancellor of the exchequer.
