Two well-respected family-owned applicator manufacturers, Premier Paint Roller Co. on the East Coast and Z-PRO International on the West Coast, have joined forces to become one of the largest paint applicator manufacturers in the United States. Premier Paint Roller purchased Z-PRO on Nov. 1, after a series of negotiations and meetings between the two companies and the Leichter and Zagone families who own them. According to Premier's Kevin Leichter, the timing of the acquisition coincided with a decision by Mike Zagone of Z-PRO to retire.
