CONTRACTORS MUST PREPARE FOR 2010 LEAD-SAFE REQUIREMENTS SOON

The US. Environmental Protection Agency is alerting contractors who work in pre-1978 housing and child-occupied facilities that the deadline for compliance with the agency's new Renovation, Repair and Painting program is right around the corner. EPA currently is accrediting its own trainers for the program; this means that renovators and other contractors covered by the regulation, including painters, will be able to begin training this summer.
