Evaluation of performance of commercially available boiler water treatment chemicals for prevention of scaling and corrosion on waterside of marine boiler tubes

Carbon steels are used in boiler tubes. Hence, boiler tubes on waterside are prone to pitting, caustic corrosion and cracking in absence of proper water treatment. Selection of appropriate water treatment is imperative to enhance the performance of boilers in terms of corrosion resistance and heat transfer efficiency.
