Epoxy flooring compounds-A versatile material for protection

Today, a variety polymers are manufactured and used for different applications. In the changing scenario of the coatings world, newer and versatile coatings are being used for decoration as well as protection applications. The need for industrial floorings and beavy duty coatings as flooring are increasing. The epoxy based newer coatings now have been developed as per requirements of end applications, mainly as flooring compound. The paper will discuss the chemistry of epoxy materials, product range, choice and effect of bardeners, coloured and transparent coatings, alongwith epoxy screeds, antiskid applications, and application oriented problems with the solutions.
