Asian paints net up on higher sales, cost cutting

Spurred by overall demand growth in the domestic paint market and cost cutting measures, Asian Paints has recorded a 27.1 per cent increase in net profit at Rs. 43.6 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2002 as against Rs. 34.3 crore in the corresponding period last year.
