The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) produces statistics on fixed assets and consumer durable goods as part of its efforts to measure the wealth of the nation. Fixed assets are produced assets that are used repeatedly, or continuously, in processes of production for more than a year; consumer durable goods are tangible commodities purchased by consumers that can be used repeatedly and continuously over a period of 3 or more years.
