Roofing Tile Glazing and Decoration Techniques

A wide range of products can be obtained from glazing and decoration techniques for clay roofing tile surfaces. This article will describe the glazing and decoration possibilities available via the application of engobe, glazes, powders and granulates methods, which are more frequently utilised such as spraying and coating with a rotary atomiser, including dry decoration techniques on samples, are discusses. Further the installation and machinery required for these effects is presented. Fig. 1 shows an example of a standard glazing and decoration line.
