Highlights of ISO Secretary General Mr Alan Bryden's visit to India

Mr Alan Bryden, Secretary General and the Chief Executive Officer of the International Organization for Standardization visited the Bureau of Indian Standards during 19-21 April 2004. On 19 April he addressed the officers of BIS and on 20 April an interaction meeting on International Standardization - Challenges and Opportunities, attended by national stakeholders from the government, industry associations, consumer organizations and technical experts was organized. Prominent among the participants were senior representatives from government departments like Consumer affairs, Commerce, National Productivity Council, Indian Council of Medical Research.
