'Utilization of Waste Wood for Production of Iron, Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen without generation Carbon Dioxide' wins Best Paper Award 2006

InSteelCon 2007, the 3~(rd) International Steel Conference on New Developments in Metallurgical Process Technologies, accompanying the METEC trade fair, provided the best opportunity to present the Best Paper Award 2006. At the end of the opening session on June 12, Elisabeth Nilsson, President of the Swedish steel association Jernkontoret, welcomed the prize winner before a large international audience. It was her great pleasure to hold the laudatory speech and to congratulate the laureate, Prof. Masanori Iwase. The Best Paper Award has been conferred since 1995. Every year, the Editorial Board has to go through a difficult selection process choosing the best publication of the previous year. Considering all papers published in 2006, most votes were cast for the contribution titled: "Utilization of Waste Wood for Production of Iron, Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen without Generating Carbon Dioxide ". It was published in the November issue (steel research int., 77 (2006), No. 11,774-778).
