Over the past 13 years the scottsdaie Area Chamber of Commerce Past Presidents have selected 93 past and present Scottsdaie personalities and organizations to induct into the Scottsdaie History Hall of Fame since creating this Scottsdaie signature event in 1994. Inductees have contributed immeasurably to the rich heritage of Scottsdaie, dating back to its modern-day founding in 1888 by Army Chaplain winfield Scott. Douglas Sydnor was one of four individuals to be honored. Sydnor is a second generation local architect and has designed numerous landmark buildings throughout Scottsdaie, many garnering regional and national awards publicity. They have included the Loloma Transportation Center, Scottsdaie artists School Renovation, Scottsdaie Community College Applied Sciences Classroom Building, Yen-Li Chen Ballet School, a series of Prestige Cleaners stores and numerous health care projects.
