The torque limiter, also called a slip clutch is a mechanical device used hr the paper feeding portion of office automation equipment such as printers and copying machines. Our company has the OTLC series of torque limiters already commercialized, but we have developed an OTLV series that is mailer, lighter, and less expensive while maintaining the features of the existing 8&iet This product, like the existing series, is designed to limit the torque to be conveyed from the torque input side (driving side) to the torque output side (driven side) by utilizing the fractional force between the inner ring member wound on its outer peripheral surface with coil spring and the outer ring housing. But in addition' the detailed design of members and manufacturing were improved. Here we introduce the structure and features of this new product.
