Soil resource inventory in U.S. National Parks: increasing appreciation of soils, advancing scientific discovery.

摘要

The importance of soil surveys and inventory projects in resource management and conservation are presented and discussed. Some examples of what these soil inventory projects can provide include but not limited to a better understanding over time of the potential effects of climate change on the ancient trees, and identification of the different areas of organic carbon sequestration in the parklands.
