South African iron ore miner Kumba Iron Ore has been informed by the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) that the 21.4% share in the Sishen mine that was reportedly lost by Ar-celorMittal South Africa had been granted to an unidentified third party. A Kumba spokesperson said Kumba was aware of the identity of the recipient, but was not at liberty to disclose the name.
