A novel TFT addressing method for color filter-less liquid crystal displays was proposed. The original model scanned row by row while this proposed model scanned n×n rows. Therefore, TFT scanning time was reduced. The extra time could be used to compensate for the insufficiency of the LC response speed or enhance image brightness.
