THE TYPE SPECIMENS OF BROMELIACEAE IN THE HERBARIUM ACADEMIA DE CIENCIAS 'ONANEY MUNIZ' (HAC), CUBA

An annotated account of the type specimens of Bromeliaceae at the Herbario de la Academia de Ciencias de Cuba "Onaney Muniz" (HAC) is presented including the description of a new species: Tillandsia rangelensis L.Hechavarria. The erroneous citation of type locality and date for T. capitata Griseb. is corrected. Lectotypification, current nomenclature and the exact locality for the type specimen of T fasciculata var. uncispica Mez is given.
