The partners of offshore Israel's Leviathan Field have come to an agreement with a subsidiary of BG Group to export gas from the giant Leviathan Field to a gas-liquefying facility in Egypt. The Leviathan discovery is the largest exploration success for Noble Energy, along with the 10 Tcf Tamar site. Israel has long relied on imports to satisfy its domestic needs, and the fields are expected to meet the country's natural gas needs for decades.
