Unconventional Resources

Operators are on a quest to grow production from tight-gas,coalbed-methane,fractured-shale and heavy-oil reservoirs,and technology is rapidly evolving to help them.Some 25 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of natural gas was produced in the U.S.and Canada in 2002,and unconventional reservoirs contributed 20% of the supply.
