The oil and gas business is pushed and pulled by so many variables that affect day-to-day activities; geopolitics, volatile commodity prices, rapidly changing costs for rigs and other services. Only a few certainties are constant: all executives will eventually die, profits will always be taxed, and all oil and gas fields ultimately deplete their reserves.
