Nevada state production records indicate Noble Energy Inc. produced 406 bbl of oil at the initial vertical well drilled on its Wilson prospect in Elko County, Nev. The #12B-M2C-M2 Humboldt is in Section 2-34n-58e and opens Humboldt Field. The producing formation was not disclosed, but the Houston-based company reported that the venture produced oil from several intervals. The well was drilled to 12,422 ft. About 1.5 miles southwest of the discovery in Section 10-34n-58e, Noble completed the 12,700-ft #11B-M10C-M10 Humboldt. No completion details were released. Seven more wildcats are planned on Noble's Humboldt leases, and the company is planning another 3-D seismic project on its Wilson prospect in 2015. Fields in neighboring Eureka County have produced oil from Indian Well and Chainman Shale.
