In its 40-year history, the Global Petroleum Show has never seen as many registered attendees as it did in June 2008. Over three days, nearly 62,000 people made their way through a serles of exhibits that seemed to take up Calgary's entire stampede grounds. The success of the show has a lot to do with the oilsands industry, says Wes Scott, event director with dmg world media.
