Santoprene thermoplastic vulcanizate is a lightweight, cost-effective material that is said to deliver durable sealing performance. Tt offers resistance to ultraviolet (UV) light, ozone, heat or chemical exposure. It also provides design flexibility for multi-part systems integration. Santoprene TPV is said to be cost-effective, offering simplified, versatile processing capability, and has a lower density than EPDM rubber. A Santoprene TPV weatherseal system is typically about 30% lighter than a traditional thermosct rubber system, helping to reduce vehicle weight for better fuel consumption and lower emissions.
