GAZMETALL CHANCING NAME TO METALLOINVEST HOLDING COMPANY, CANCELS SHARE OFFERING

Shareholders in CJSC Ga2metall, which runs the iron and steel assets of billionaire Alisher Usmanov, have approved a name change to Metalloinvest Holding Company, the Metalloinvest Management Company told Interfax on April 2. Maxim Basov stays on as chief executive. The shareholders also voted to put the bulk of last year's net profit, which the company did not specify, aside for restructuring internal debt and acquiring new assets, the company said, without elaborating.
