We thank Dr. Romano for his interest in our recent Retina article.1 It is with great pleasure we receive his constructive comments. He presents an interesting theoretical solution to hastening silicone oil removal using its thermodynamic properties. We look forward to seeing a clinical application of his ideas and believe that testing his hypothesis is worthwhile.
