We appreciate Pellegrino's interest in our recently published article.1 Pellegrino compares the delays of onset of Streptococcus endophthalmitis in our patients with those of the Endophthalmitis Vitrectomy Study (EVS). In our study,1 the average time to onset of Streptococcus endophthalmitis was 6.3 ± 6.5 days ("delay of onset" or time from surgery to first symptoms) and the median time to onset was 4 days (<2 days in 25%).
