Professor Milenkovic et al presented a patient with serpiginous choroiditis. The eyes had symmetric scars proceeding outward in a jigsaw pattern from around the optic disk. The pattern and symmetry of the scars resembled helicoid peripapillary chorioretinal degeneration (HPCD), which was originally described by Sveinsson.1 Professor Milenkovic et al2 previously reported a father, daughter, and son from Serbia who had HPCD. The authors wonder whether this patient had serpiginous or HPCD.
