On behalf of all the authors, I thank Lopez-Guajardo et al for the comments about our recent case report in RETINA and for their suggestions both in the treatment and in the prevention of flap displacement during retinal surgery. In particular, they suggest placing a contact lens between cornea and sutured lens ring to treat or prevent corneal flap displacement during retinal surgery in patients with previous LASIK. Moreover, when dealing with intraoperative corneal edema, they suggest drying all fluid from the corneal surface and then gently pressing perpendicularly against the edematous epithelium with a dry spear sponge to avoid corneal epithelium removal.
