Education is essential to end farming myths

I read Rosa Holt's letter (Opinion, 6 October), with interest and completely agree that the farming witch hunt must come to an end.What interests me in particular is that she is a dietician who supports the farming industry. This contrasts with my conversations with a few nutritionists who have told me of lectures and presentations they have attended which have put modem farming ina negative light.One particular example was that "cows' milk is far more hygienic from animals that have been hand-milked than machine-milked" and that "milk is full of pus, unless of course it is organic". This from the person giving the lecture, described as "an expert".
