Casale to revamp five plants for Iffco

Casale has signed a contract with the Indian Famers Fertilizer Cooperative (Iffco) for the revamp of five ammonia/ urea plants at sites in Aonla, Phulpur and Kalol. The goal of the revamping project is to further reduce energy consumption at these plants by about 8% on average below current levels, which were themselves attained through past revamping projects. Casale says that a fully-integrated revamping approach will be used to guarantee that this goal will be achieved in the most efficient way, making use of Casale's specific know-how in both the ammonia and urea fields and its long-term experience of revamping any kind of process technology. Casale will provide the license for technical know-how, the basic engineering package, and technical site assistance. Casale will also supply proprietary equipment.
