摘要

NKK Corporation has introduced a newly developed regenerative burner heating system into No.1 hot strip mill reheating furnace in Fukuyama Works. Introduction of all-regenerative-burner reheating furnace into a large scale hot strip mill processis the first trial in the steel making industry. The regenerative burner was developed in collaboration with Nippon Furnace. The newly constructed reheating furnace has heating capacity of 230 tons of slab per hour and it has 76 regenerative burners.Energy saving of the new furnace is 25%, and reduction of NOx emission is 60% compared to re-placed furnace.
